Garner Drake Residential Design is proudly family owned & operated, building on and continuing the lifelong work of Rick Garner, professional residential building designer, professional builder, and residential developer.

For decades, Rick created house plans and custom home designs rooted in practical design, construction knowledge, and a deep understanding of how people actually live. His work shaped communities across the United States and beyond, grounded in experience, not just theory.

Today, that work continues.

Garner Drake Residential Design is now owned and operated by Rick’s daughter, Elizabeth Ashley Garner Drake, and son-in-law, Jason Drake.

Elizabeth has been part of the business since 1998, leading marketing, client relationships, and brand development across multiple facets of The Rick Garner Companies. Jason is a professional draftsman and commercial project manager who trained directly under Rick and worked alongside him on many projects for over 20 years.

Together, they carry forward the foundation Rick established, continuing his approach to practical, buildable house plans and home design while expanding the work to meet the demands of modern residential construction and multi-family development.
